To the staff it means success after long, late hours, hard work, but lots of fun and good experience. To the student body it is a memory book to be enjoyed again and again. To the faculty it is a photographic record of their school family. To the parents it is the daily lives of their children at school. This is your yearbook - your pictures, your activities, and your memories. In later years while turning these pages, if you should recall the many friendships and good times, joys, perplexities and decisions, and the spiritual emphasis placed on your education here at D, J. A., we shall be content, knowing we have done the thing we were called on to do. I would like to thank each one who had a part in making this yearbook. Many thanks to Mrs. Lee for her untiring help and encouragement, and to the staff for their great cooperation and assistance. I appreciated it so much! Also, to Mr. Bauer, many thanks for the many hours he spent on making and developing the pictures for the yearbook. Iwould like to thank Mrs. Capps and Miss Myers for the consideration they have shown by letting us use their classtime to work on the annual. And last, but certainly not least, thanks so much to those who sold the annuals and to the advertisers. The staff wishes you the happiest of memories as you explore the 1967 Dallas Mem- ories. The Staff LEFT to RIGHT: Danny Leach, Assistant Editor Donald Wardle, Advertising Manager LaVerne Ferrell, Assistant Art Editor Linda Morgan, Assistant Editor Lowell MaGee, Assistant Advertising Mgr. VIRGINIA LEE, Sponsor 5 VN Dedication BECAUSE OF YOU The world is so much happier More pleasing and more true, More tolerant and sunny, And that's because of you. The world is a less selfish place, So much more willing, too, There's more of understanding in it-- And all because of you. There is no life that yours has touched That has not richer grown, No soul that's failed to brighten by The righteousness you've shown. --Z. D. Davis This poem well describes the way we all feel about Mrs. Lois Wardle. A friendly smile, a pleasant personality, and kind little words of advice are but a few of the things that have made her a special friend to each student. We all appreciate her faithfulness to her duties in our school cafe- teria. Each meal she serves is a carefully planned, well-balanced menu, and delicious. As a small measure of our appreciation for her unselfish service and untiring friendship, we, the staff, dedicate this book to MRS. J. E.
