Mr Forchid is also an assistant coach for the Dragon footbal team

77 Christy Randles is crowned by the 1986 queen Michelle Kellum. Michelle's escort for the assembly was senior Alex Rivera . Homecoming '87 Homecoming 1987. October 12-17. The tradition continued in 1987 with the Homecoming Spirit week. Through the week, DHS students enjoyed a variety of activities, showing their enoro-mous amount of spirit. Each day of the week was a special dress-up day, such as Disney day and Hippie day. It was sort of disappointing, it was just like last year, agreed Dan Crichlow and John Grippin. The annual Powder Puff football game was played Monday night. The seniors were victorious 28-0. The coronation assembly was held Tuesday in the gym. The court was presented to the crowd by the Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Jim Fairchild. Christy Randles was announced as the queen. She took her Queen's walk and officially opened the Homecoming festivities. Dra-gonnaires sang the theme Stand by me and senior Tina Emigh sang the Homecoming song “In My Dreams . The week came to a close Friday night with the football game against Stayton. The Dragons beat the Eagles with an awesome score of 55-7. It was really awesome. We really romped 'em, stated Gary Burton. After the game a dance was held in the DHS cafeteria. It was open to all high school students and past DHS alumni. The colors for the evening were red, black, and white. The dance was semi formal and a DJ was hired. By Michelle Cook Queen Christy Randles reads the Homecoming scroll, held by her escort Scott Tallon. The reading of the scroll signifies the opening of the Homecoming activities. 2 v

As a tradition, the group went out to a lunch in Salem after the assem- W bly.
