Time Of Achievement Scholastics ranked high this year, with the addition of many new faces to the Honor Society. Members were concerned with achievement as well as enjoyment of each others company as evidenced by the pictures on the right. It is through these material elements of recognition that students are able to recognize improvement and attainment. Besides the traditional courses of study, Dallas students persuded the vocational and technical areas. Foreign languages offered a challenge to many as well as an insight to an ever shrinking world. Technical Drawing and Wood Shop offered a practical experience with concrete and tangible results. A change from those theory and speculation of other areas. Time passes here as will. With the first days of fall came the introduction to the course of study and finally a chance to get out into the shop and experience the feeling of pride with the completion of your own project. Without a doubt this part of school life provides much satisfaction to the persistant, and makes it possible for many students to prepare for the future. 8

Many students kept track of time through activities, others marked the passing days on pocked Callenders. Hours were spent and many times the demands were severe. Practice and rehearsal and drill, to Dallas High Students these words and words like Abdul, teamteaching, grubbies, censored, B. A., get smart, vacation, and happiness is were their language. Yes memories are an important part of a school year; some good, some bad, but all necessary.
