Editor David Campbell From the beginning of the school year, the 1974 yearbook staff had two goals: to pay off a dollar debt totaling 81, 319.73, and to produce the best yearbook DC has ever had. To accomplish the first goal, many staff members worked extremely hard selling ads, school pictures, decals and carnival booklets, and working the Mini- Market at the PTA Auction. The same hard work and dedication paid off again to accomplish the second goal. Special thanks must be given to all the staff members who worked so hard and especially to Miss Moore for holding everything together and working so hard for us. Staffer Alan Mays. Sponsor Susie Moore. SPORTS STAFF: Lynn Stephens, Tim Sloan, Billy Alexander, and editor Tim Havens.

1972-74 PTA Sets New Records for DC 1972-'74 proved to be the most successful years in the history of the CSI PTA. Led by a dynamic president, Randall Thompson, the PTA raised over 818, 000 during the 2-year period. Upon taking office in May, 1972, the officers were faced with a deficit of over S5 ,500 . Refusing to let this situation dampen enthusiasm, Mr. Thompson led the group in making unprecedented and far- reaching plans. The climax of the 2 years' work came on March 9 , 1974, when a huge auction was held in the DC gym. Through the cooperation and work of countless individuals, the auction raised about 2814, 000 for CSI. The active concern of the PTA for student activities was vividly demonstrated when the yearbook staff was allowed to operate the Mini- Market, and Sl, 100 of its proceeds was given to the staff to make the final payment of what was originally an almost 32,000 debt, incurred 3 years ago . Several other student organizations benefited from the PTA Auction. Randall Thompson, PTA President Randall Thompson and Gene Stephens, treas. , write THE check for the yearbook staff.
