The objectives of the Society of Physics Students shall be to encourage and assist students interested in physics to develop the knowledge, competence, enthusiasm, and social responsi- bility that are essential to the advancement of physics: stimu- lating interest in advanced study and research in physics; develop friendship among physics stu- dents and faculty members; pro- mote public interest in physics: provide liaison between students and the member societies of the American Institute of Physics; recognize high scholarship and potential achievement in physics among outstanding students by means of Sigma Pi Sigma mem- bership. Science Club The purpose of the Science Club is to promote scientific interest among the students of Dallas Baptist College and to promote the academic and professional development of its members.
