Coach Livengood points out a pla while Coach Bailev watches BOYS' HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATIO The boys Health and Physicalliducation Department at Dale endeavors to present to the students a whole some recreational program based on supervised activities and designed to co otdinate the mind and bodv as one single unit. This department has maintained a rather extensive program in inter-school activities, such as football, basketball, baseball and track. However on the intra-school level, the standard is maintained by competent in- structors attempting to bring forth that which will be conducive to furthering the interest of each and every student through a broad interpretation and mass participation.

1- X A9 -0. s, s Miss Nancy E. Durell 0' , Band is a comparatively new organization at Dale High School, having been or anized only 3 years ago. It is com- posed of 44 members ans is under the direction of Miss Nancy E. Durell. On October llthey entered the State Band Marching Con- test at Salem and placed First. On October 18, they partici- pated in the Annual Band Day Activities at Lndiana University where they performed with 3657 other High School Band mem- bers and Indiana Universities famous Marching Hundred. The Annual Winter Concert was held on December 12 in co-operation with the Choir. On December 4th, the Band Booster Club entertained the Band at a banquet at Glenn's Cafe. Under the supervision of the Band Booster Club the Band has a full-time summer program, during which they gave three ' ' free outdoor concerts.
