BUSINESS EDUCATION The purpose of the commercial subjects is to contribute to the development of intelligent economic citi- zenship, as well as enabling students to acquire useful business skills important in everyday life. The curricular changes in the Department of Business made over the past few years indicate the attempt made to integrate the department with the new pattern of education. The department is presided over by three teachers, Mrs. Josephine P. Stone who teaches Freshman, Senior English and Speech, Miss Irene McDaniel teaches both in the Freshman and in the Sophomore years. Mrs. Esther Hoops teaches a large class of Juniors in connection with her other duties.
