Whereas, we testify this to be our last will and testament hereby attach our signature, the class of 1952 SENIOR TEA On December 14, the Sophomore Home Ee Girls under the supervision of Miss weedman sponsored the traditional Senior Faculty Tea While a group of Sopho morehgirls sang Christmas songs, we ate our cookies and favors and drank our punc The room was beautifully decorated in keeping with the Christmas BD1l1t including a Christmas tree, pine on the doors, and stockings on the Firenlaoe Everyone was entertained by a jolly, old Santa Claus 2? U 9905 A kfotosall 45 SENIOR TRIP Early Saturday morning October 6 1951 fifty sleepv seniors and their sporsors Mr Woolsey Mr Gloven and Mrs Stone boarded the bls and started for Indiana Universitv We arrived at the university at 10 OO after stopping at Loogootee for breakfast We then toured the campus and ate our dinners at various places At 12 30 we all gathered at the football statium and joined the anxious throng of people waiting for tickets The game was very interesting with Indiana emerging the victor over Pittsburg by a score f 13 6 Another interesting feature was the marching of sixty one high school bands from all parts of Indiana with the Marching undred thev spelled out the word u diand After the game the seniors boarded the bus for D810 Everyone enjoyed their day at I U very much S 'J 4.4.-I 7 MIG ill!!! ml y y gf 5 , Mum! qt ,, his fm We

In the fall of 19U8 the doors of Dale dlgh School wer again opened admit a somewhat awed and reluctant roup of freshmen In the next four years this group was to be remembered by the echos of laughter in the corridors and the deepened and additional lines on the faces of their taachers After b comlnf acquainted with each other, and with their sponsors Miss McDaniel, Mr Bo kstalher, and Mr Cissna, they ele ted Richard Schum as Presi dent, Bill Heichlebech as Vice Uresident, Norman Stetter as Secretary and Sharon Kaiser as Treasurer Betty Harper, Norma Handschiegl, Bobby Hunter and Richard Schum were selected as delegates to the Student Council The freshman year was enlight ned by two class parties, the first Lincoln State Park and the second on the school ground In Arril M9 the classmates bade each other farewell, hoping that all would oe back in the fall when they returned as Sophomores they found thnt several members had with drawn Those missing were Christina Sullivan, James Montgomery, and Ann Schnell nberger To balance our losses we also had some n w comers Geneva Lauderdale, Antoinette Haroenau, Gene Medcalf, and Jack Boyer From the seventy two members the following were elected as class officers Presid nt, Warren Stephens, Vice President, Tommy Payne, Secretary, Beatrice Roos, and Treasurer, Sue Hedg s Reporters were Norman Stetter and Betty Jo Schnellenberger To represent them ln the Student Council they chose Norma Handschiefl, Beatrice Roos and War en Stephens The Sophomores, along with their sponors, Miss Gabbert, M Bockstalher, and Mr Jenkins, again en1oyed two class parties, the first b ing at Huntingburg and the second at Lincoln State Park In seemingly only a few weeks 55 Juniors were found returning to 'dear old Dale Highn They quickly organized their class so as to take advantage of the Junior sales Class officers were Winston Hughes, President, Norma Handschiegl Vice Pr sldent, Clyde Polster, Secretary and Sue Hedges, Treasurer Sponsors were Miss Weedman, Mrs Upson, Mr Bieke, and Mr Bailey The Junior year was high lighted by an outing at Wvansville 7oo followed by a movie The Junior Senior Banquet and the Junior Play 'Out of This world' present d under the able guidance of Miss McDaniel After a very busy year the Juniors went eagerly into their summer vacation September 1951 and again we opened our books at Dale High School to add the fourth and final chapter Shortly after resuming our studies we tallied our class votes with the result that Winston Hughes was chosen President, Norman Treasurer Soon afterward we appointed our Annual Staff which started immediately to collect, arrange, and type the materials Durilg the year our class sponsors were Mrs Stone, Mr Glezen and M Woolsey These fifty Seniors marched out of the gym on May 16 1952 and were ermlned to carry their class motto WThey can who think they cann This class leaves Dale High with the hope that everyone might have en1oyable times and gain as much knowledge as they did 'SA' XXXXX '4Q9 'HFAY ln q .., R ffm' H4 , k S I Q I O ,,, 1 I e ' to L . .
