1 .. Hootenanny! The long days and Weeks on station were almost all watches, sleep and eating, but not quite. Chaplain L e a n o r d organized two hootenannys to break the monot- ony and both were really successful thanks to the efforts of some of our more talented crew members. Boone and his rendition of Billboards Went over big as did Keebaugh and his guitar. Jackson made a fine M. C. for both shows, the second of which included a bui- fet type dinner on the mess decks.
