CONTENTS 1980 CRUSADER DALE COUNTY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL OZARK, ALABAMA VOLUME V 1979-80 Dedication .....................................4 People in the 80’s 5 Stars of the 80’s ............................ 17 Memories of the 80’s ..........................27 Advertisements ............................... 43 THE BEGINNING 2 OF OUR DECADE He does not lead me year by year Nor even day by day. But step by step my path unfolds; My Lord directs my way. Tomorrow’s plans I do not know, 1 only know this minute; But He will say, “This is the way, By faith now walk ye in it.” And I am glad that it is so. Today’s enough to bear; And when tomorrow comes. His grace Shall far exceed its care. What need to worry then, or fret? The God who gave His Son Holds all my moments in His hand And gives them, one by one. Barbara C. Ryberg 3 DEDICATED TO: LT. COL. JAMES W. MC CREADY Col. McCready has been working with the girls volleyball team at D.C.C.S. for three years. He took our rough, unpracticcd players and turned them into top performers. His dedication was tremendous. He faithfully practiced with the girls each Wednesday and often devoted several other days of the week to coaching them at games and special clinics. He worked them hard and turned them into state champions. But of even more importance than his concern for the team as a whole was his concern for each girl as an individual. We thank him for having this concern, and we miss him greatly since his transfer to Kansas. We respectfully and appreciatively dedicate the 1980 CRUSADER to him.
