Photographs of the twenty-four contestants were then given to a panel of three prominent Madison civic leaders who, after care- ful examination, narrowed the field to seven finalists. In February, photographs of the seven finalists were sent to Atlantic City, New Jersey, where Mr. Albert A. Marks, Chairman of the Board of the Miss America Pageant, selected Miss Kathleen Casey to reign as Helen of Troy - the 1967 Trojan Queen. Selecting the seven most photogenic candidates was the task which confronted Mr. Bob Burg, Mr. Leland White, and Mrs. Merrill Hunter. 20
