With the addi- tion of Dr. Charles Campbell in elementary education, and Mr. Robert McCann in psychol- ogy, the Division increased the potential for the preparation of teachers in general and in the specific profession level in which he wishes to teach. After meeting the require- ments of prescribed curriculum and with the recommendation of the college, the potential teacher is issued a teaching certificate to teach in whatever field and at the level in which he is prepared. Pictured above is the architect's sketch of the new Karl E, Mundt Library which will be built on the northwest corner of the campus. ln January, the Karl E. Mundt Historical and Edu- cational Foundation gave Sl70,000 to the state to add a third floor to the new library. The addition will be used to house Senator Mundt's historical papers and archives. .ning 'K 53 GBSC To Builcl New library The library is the Working laboratory of the entire college. Its purpose is to obtain, organize and administer library materials and to guide students in the use of these materials. The library cooperates with the faculty and administration in providing necessary and optional materials essential in furthering the educational aims of the college.
