The class was saddened the first month of school by the death of Doris Mills, a victim of polio. During the first semester of school, Lois Borchardt and Florence Zentner dropped out, and at the beginning of the second semester, Nathan Wolf dropped out, The class presented the play Vlove Your Nigh- born the last of April. They were kept busy with this and in giving the Seniors their annual Umquet and dance in May. In the fall of 1947 twenty-six students re- turned as seniors. They chose for their officers: President ----------------- Reginald Goeke Vice-President -------------- Alvin Zipsie Secretary-Treasurer ----------- JoAnn Clay Student Council ----------- Florence Adams Miss Cave was appointed sponsor of this class and Liss Schick sponsor of the annual. Bihlburfey joined the Navy during the summer and was accepted in the Navy band. Nellie Marian was marrred during the summer and Betty Hillman dropped out dndng the first month of school. At the beginning of the second semester, Carol Neuschwander quit to be married. Everett Huenefeld joined the class. At the beginning of the year the class pre- sented the play HAunt Cathie's Cat.H Parties and school activities have kept the class busy through- out the year. Closing activities were especially enjoyed by the entire group.

The freshmen were initiated by the sophomores in the fall. Their fall picnic was held in the Tielkemeier grove. In the fall of 1945 thirty-two ofthe students returned as sophomores. At the beginning of the year Alvin Zipsh joined the class. Patricia Bangasser and Jhaflcs Snyder left at the end of the first semester. The usual parties and picnics were held at school .and away from school.
