The number grew much larger because of the closing of the Davis High School and new entering juniors. They were Robert Seifert , Chester Afflerbaugh, Marian and Marilyn Haetz, Phy- llis Brick, and Grace Epling. Robert Nott dropped from the group. Robert Kaiser Student CeuncilFrank Altenbernd Spenser . . . Miss Pilgrim The fall picnic was held at Krapes Park. The junior play was presented in the spring and the year ended with a spring picnic. Robert Reuber and Yueteva Haubach dropped out. Geraldine Trimble came from Pecatonica in March. Arthur Clay came from Present in the first semester. This was the smallest class ever to enter Dakota High. They chose for their officers: Arvin Schwarze .Yuteva Haubach S tanl ey Thomas Robert Kaiser .Bonnie Miller Miss Lambrecht President . . Vice President Secretary . . Treasurer . . Student Council Sponsor . . The fall picnic was held at the school house. In the fall of 1942 eighteen returned for their so- phomore year. For their officers they chose: President 0 o c Vice President . Ted Long Secretary . Treasurer . . Student Council. Robert Kaiser Sponsor . . Miss Lambrecht Betty Maass .Frank Altenbcrnd Bonnie Miller Robert Nott came to join them from Orangeville and Catherine Shippy came from Pecatonica. Donna Mae Morrison took her work in another school while Kat- hryn Scudder dropped from the class. Charles Schr- oeder entered from Orangeville High at the end of the first semester. The usual sophomore activities were enjoyed. His younger sister, Judy, better known as the Wwormu because she always had her nose in a book, and Henry's es- pecial friend Spike, were always ready to help him in his troubles.
