L. E. Mayne Auf Superintendent of Daingerfield-Lone Star I.S.D. Mr. Le .'is E. CMickeyJ Mayne is presently serving in his first year as Superintendent of the Daingerfield-Lone Star Independent School District. He was elevated to this position upon the resignation of Mr. J. D. Parrish. Pre- viously, Mr. Mayne was principal of Daingerfield High School for two years. Upon graduation from the University of Texas, Mr. Mayne joined the Army Air Corps. After his discharge, he played football for the Baltimore Colts and the Cleveland Browns. He later turned from playing football to coaching - coaching in both Winnsboro and Daingerfield schools. In 1963 he became principal of Lindale High School and then returned to Daingerfield as a junior high principal in 1971.
