David Lanagan has been named to the Texas Music Educator's Association All-State Band for the third consecutive year. l-le was selected at tryouts held recently in Nacogdoches where he competed against musicians from Regions IV, IX, and X which included high schools from the Red River to the Gulf of Mexico. A senior and a member of the Daingerfield Tiger band since he was in the eighth grade, David will be making his third all-state appearance in three years. After that loss, the Tigers went on to defeat Sulphur Springs and Mt. Pleas- ant and claim the district '7-AAA championship and advance to the state playoffs. The playoffs were short lived as the blue and white Tigers lost to Jacksonville in bi-district.
