HICKS -- Q-Back The Tigers of Daingerfield High School won the 25-B District Conference crown for the first time in the history of the school, De- spite the loss of two non-conference games and a tie with Linden, the Tigers became 3- rj determined to be the champs of the district, The squad opened its 25-B Conference foot- ball championship title defense at Bogata with a 12-0 win over the Bulldogs, Two end runs by Bobby Harrell produced the touch- downs, With an impressive 45-9 win over the Deport Cats the Tigers surged on to win the district crown. Hill scored 25 points, and Lanier, LANIER CRASHES THROUGH AVINGER LINE FOR FIRST DOWN I-2C0bS and Harrell scored Six each. In a closely fought battle with the Avinger Indians the Tigers proved to be the stronger by a score of 13-0, Virginia Havron, football sweetheart, was presented. Daingerfield Tigers blasted Pewitt Brahmas by a win of 32-0, scoring in every quarter, The Tigers, spurred by the fleet Hill and the line -smashing of Lanier, notched their fourth consecutive District 25-B win over the Talco Trojans, 19-0.
