N S R And the curtaln was drawn on the last act of our school career i dear Old U H S September 11 found thlrty one ambitious boys and girls s1tt1ng 1D the seats coveted by every under classman Pour seniors, who started their school career together in 1904 IH the hrammar School of Da1ngerf1eld, have proudly finished together, those puplls beln Patsy Part1n, feorge Garrett, Polly Nix and Doris Clark In each of the three previous years thls was a cheerful class, bubbllnv over with excitement and 3mb1t10H, desiring to become the greatest class ever to Graduate from Da1ngerfield Hlgh School hach year was eventful, but this, the last, was the Wh1gh l1ght' xe class selected as its motto 'Forward ever, Backward never the flower was the sweet oea, and the colors blue and gold The seniors were alert and wide awake at all tlmes, being lead ers in social activities, scholarship and athletlcs Outstanding events of the year were Christmas party at Sam s lodve, Senior play, Iunlor Senior Banquet, close of school 8Ct1V1t19S, and publication of The Class was headed by a group of very efficient and progressive officers, sponsors, and room mothers Mrs Ima Bassett, and Mr A J Bannister were sponsors and the room mothers were Mrs Robert Nail M s M A Connor, Mrs Morris Dalby, and Mrs Ben Garrett The of ficers were hreszdent Billy Dalby, vice Pf6S1d6Hf Sam will1s, Secy Treas Ibris Clark, wld reborter harlton Vaughn The end came with its joys and heartaches, its smiles and tears We had derlved from our school life the same joy we had had the privi leve of putting into it The Class owes a debt of gratitude to a most patient and 1HStPUCt1V9 faculty, superintendent, and principal for the Ouldance, encouragement, and cooperat1on given during the past four years Foundations for the home and lives of the future u1L1Z9HS of the world were laid Whatever success any member may attain it will be re membered that it is due to that most lnfluential part of his life h1s experiences in D H S , and with the Class of '45 fig is X X J X SE !ORCLA9FS ?4ft:T'7fY n ' . .'. .
