Sister Angelice Vogt served Daemen College with distinction from September 1954 until her retirement in June 1981. She began as a steacher of Business Affairs and Treasurer, then as Chief Business Administrator, and finally as Vice President for Business Affairs and Trea- surer. Serving on the Board of Trustees as Secretary, Consultant and Secretary-Treasurer of the Board, her sense of values and astute business acumen were im- portant factors in the continuous growth and prosper- ity of Daemen College. During her time of service as chief fiscal officer, she saw the acquisition of the Campus apartments, the renovation of Alverno Hall, the construction of Duns Scotus Hall, Lourdes Hall and the Charles W. Wick Campus Center. Of Sister Angelice, Dr. Robert Marshall said, “Sister manifests in her daily life the Franciscan characteris- tics of peace and joy. Her calm insistence that “God will provide” is born of her love of St. Francis and of Catherine Daemen. These attributes made her a source of inspiration and encouragement to all. Her position will be filled, but she will never be replaced.” 21
