When the golden sun is melting In the purple of the night There is promise of the morrow That it will be fair and bright. So today we see the gleaming Through regrets that we must part, Of the beauty of the future And the hopes that fill each heart. We go forth with firm endeavor And a purpose ever true, And our motto is perfection In whatever we may do. Though the land and sea divide us We will ever cherish dear Our beloved Alma Mater And her name will we revere. 1975 TALISMAN Dadeville High School Dadeville, Alabama Volume XXXIII Editor-----------------Harriet Sanford Business Manager---------Starr Carter Advisor----Mrs. Adeline B. Treadwell SENIORS m TABLE OF CONTENTS When the golden sun is melting 4 In the purple of the night 8 9 People laughing, people sneaking, people practicing, people smiling, people talking . . . people just being people. We, the Senior Class, proudly dedicate the 1975 TALISMAN to our principal, MR. EDWINS. FULLER, whose ethical standards and high moral character are an inspiration and example for us to follow. We deeply appreciate his seeking to instill in each of us a desire to put forth our maximum potential in every endeavor. 14 For many of the Seniors of 1975, this represents the last year of formal education: however, this year will most assuredly not be your last experience with the learning process. You will be using the knowledge that you have gained at Dadeville High School as a foundation to build further learning upon. It is the hope of the faculty and administration of Dadeville High School that this foundation is strong enough to support a full and well-rounded education - an education of book knowledge and of good common sense. Congratulations upon your graduation from Dadeville High School and may your education continue throughout your life. Learn to do something each day that will make the world a better place tomorrow. May God bless each of you. Principal There is promise of the morrow That it will be fair and bright. So today we see the gleaming Through regrets that we must part; Of the beauty of the future, And the hopes that fill each heart. Pam Morris — HOMECOMING Queen! HOMECOMING 1975 was filled with fun, excitement, and rain! Homecoming Maids were elected from grades 9- 12. The D-Club nominated the three Queen Nominees. This year the Seniors and Jun- iors worked together on one float, as did the Sophomores and Freshmen. The S.G.A. built the float for the Queen Nominees. The floats were featured in the parade Friday afternoon. Friday night the rain poured, but it did not dull the supense. It was announced that the Senior-Junior float won the float competition and Pam Morris was crowned HOMECOMING QUEEN by Betsy Reynold, the 1973 Queen. The TIGERS made HOMECOMING a complete success with a 61-7 stomping of Good water. To top off the weeks activities, a dance was held, with the D.H.S. BOO- GIE BAND playing.
