Some girls, will never forget the first half- time show of 1961. T H E S E N I O R Big Tiger” captain started training early it seems. Our boys played some mighty good football this year, but if they think they have anything over D.H.S. girls, well. We’ll show ’em!” The seniors start- ed exciting new activities like the magazine sale, but to some of us, it was the same old drag. Lucky Gayle! Let’s take time to thank the band for a season of terrific half-time shows. Hats off, Mr. Thurman! But there is more to P.E. than just danc- ing, isn’t there girls? The student body really supported our basketball team this year. And a great team it was we had to support! Class parties were terrific. During Sadie Hawkins” week, the girls had their big chance at Mr Lady Killer- D.H.S.” (who seems to have no chance- at all here!) but we did!... And so, now. THE DADEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL ALMA MATER When the golden sun is melting In the purple of the night There is promise of the morrow That it will be fair and bright. So today we see the gleaming Through regrets that we must part Of the beauty of the future And the hopes that fill each heart. We go forth with firm endeavor And a purpose ever true And our motto is perfection In whatever we may do. Though the land and sea divide us We will ever cherish dear Our beloved Alma Mater And her name will we reverse. I Dadeville High School, hoping that it will mean as much to you as it has meant to us.
