The world is hungry and searching for young men and young women who have ambition, ability, character, and determination. Never before in the history of our country has there been a greater need for men and women of high moral standards and a determination to dare and to do the things that should be done Never before has there been a greater challenge to young men and women to do things for the sake of their country and for humanity. Never before have there been greater opportunities available for those who really want to do something worthwhile. There have been very few times in the history of our nation when the dollar was worth so little and an idea worth so much. I extend my congratulations to the Senior Class for your achievements thus far, but would impress upon you that you have not succeeded as yet. People succeed only when they reach their final destination. You are succeeding only as you accomplish your daily tasks in a creditable manner Teachers and parents cannot make a success of you; they can only help you to do the job. The determination to succeed must come from within. Your only limitation is yourself. America of the future will be what you make of it. You will determine the type of educational system, the type of government, and the moral standards of future citizens of this good land of ours. The world owes you nothing; you owe everything you are or hope to be to your Creator and to the service of humanity. Work and plan to that end and when you have reached your final destination, you will have succeeded. Accept the challenge of our times to dare and to do the things that are right and serve your country and humanity to your fullest capacity. Please feel free to call upon me if ever I can be of service to you and yours. Sincerely, A H. Wallace
