I take pride in the girls, and the girls take pride in the team. Then at the end of the season whether we win or lose, we can be proud of our perfor- mance. Coach Pauk's philosophy .proved successful when Junior Varsi- ty turned out a perfect season of five wins and no defeats in regular season play. The girls also took first place in . the Lillis Tournament. The girls' gymnastics team enjoyed a tremendously rewarding season this school year. Their successes may be attributed to skill, endurance, and many mornings of practice. As a re- sult of help from Booster Club and Student. Council, the uneven bars were added to the team's equip- ment. This was also the first year that Van Horn has had a J.V. team. The team sold posters; sponges, and had car washes to pay for medals, sup- plies, officials and the use of the gym at all home meets.
