Learning the struc- ture of a language went hand in hand with learning the basic culture of its people and the art of communica- tion. The most advanced courses of- fered were third year German, fourth year French, and fifth year Spanish.

38 Robert Andrew Industrial Art courses included classes in wood, electricity and pow- er mechanics. All these classes have taught the basic principles of design and construction. These classes helped the students understand past, present, newer and more effi- cient industrialized techniques.
