Karen Wheaton, a junior, has been twirling for approxi- mately nine years. She has done several different rou- tines during half-time at the football games in the past two years. Karen participates in ice skating and swim- ming, but enjoys all kinds of sports. She was a member of Pep Club and manager of the boys' swimteam. This year she participated in Vantasia doing a routine to Tough Enough . Besiges using the baton, Karen can perform suspenseful acts using fire and knives. Twirling her baton, Karen has made the nationals three times and state six times. She also twirls on a team which has taken first in state for the past six years.

This ambitious club was involved in money making projects such as a concession stand at the American Graffitti movie, selling shrink art and Bicenten- nial medallions. They had the frisbee contest at the Stuco picnic, a German cheering sec- tion at a football game, a float in the Homecoming parade, and they were also involved in Van- tasia. German club supported Student Council projects and was informally affiliated with A.F.S.
