I 28 The Junior High Student Council began the year by electing representatives from each classroom. Candidates for president, Doug Kazda, Charles Tras- ka, and Don Alexejun were elected by the student body. Don Alexejun became president. Other offi- cers include Linda Machmueller, vice-presidentg Les- ter Cheyka, secretary, and John Pelot, treasurer. Study groups investigated Parliamentary Procedures for Junior High and reported in November. Mrs. Priscilla Ross, advisor, suggested that the Senior High Student Council officers demonstrate their policy in regard to Parliamentary Procedure. During the Christmas season, flocked trees were placed in corirdors, donated by the Student Council. Concessions at the Stevens Point basketball game were also sponsored by the Council. A welcoming committee for new students was organized during second semester. The group also investigated the possibility of joining the Wisconsin Association of Student Councils.
