Marriage The audience at Everest, the prompters and the stage, managers, the cast, and the di- rector all enjoyed the one-act play, Marriage The High The play High Window dealt with the problem of Walter Winthrop, a young man under the control of his Aunt Emily, who has' made him believe he murdered his Uncle during a period of insanity. He was finally freed by the intervention of Linda Norton, a young reporter, who loves him. She proves that he could not have committed the crime, The Dear The Dear Departed is a humorous play with a strong moral lesson. Believing that their father, Able Merry- weather, just died, Mrs. Slater and Mrs. Jordan begin to divide his property even be- fore the arrival of the doctor. While each tries to out do the other in a surface show of grief, it is obvious as the play progresses that they are interested only in the material pro- Proposal Proposal . Though a B play at Mosinee, it will remain as tops in the minds of the cast and director. X Window and the guilt of Aunt Emily becomes ap- parent. As the play ends she walks toward the great window, symbolic of her control over Walter, to bring the story of her control to an end. High Window received a B in the local contest. Departed fits that can be gained from the tragedy. Their wranglings are interrupted by Mr. Merryweather who has just been asleep, not dead. After discovering what his daughters really are, Mr. Merryweather announces that he is about to remarry and change his will. Because of their greed, his daughters are to be left nothing. 59
