BOARD OF EDUCATION Mr. Call, Mr. Hettinga, Mr. Pflieger, Mr. Johnson, and Mr. Schoeman. BOARD OF EDUCATION The operation and much of the success of a school depends on our Board of Education. These men have given unselfishly of their time and energy with little or no compensation returns. We can always be certain that they have the interests of us all in mind and will continue the wonderful job they are now doing. Our superintendent of schools, Mr. Mclntyre, our principal, Mr. Case, and our faculty have spent much time preparing us for the battle of life. The knowledge and indispensable traits of character they have instilled in us are our chief weapons. There is not one of us who is able to thank them enough or fully evaluate their true worth, but we can, and will, try earnest- ly to prove their efforts have not been in vain.

The old order changeth making way for the new. What was good and modern before the atomic bomb is now as antiquated as the horse and buggy. Our young men and women must realize that a crisis faces our youth. It is ab- solutely imperative that we maintain a superiority in the bal- ance of power if America is to lead the world on the path of peace. , The only solution for a peaceful future is an educated citizenry. The high school days for seniors have ended, but education should never end. Trained young men and women will make it possible for us to maintain our superiority in all fields. Through the grace of God, may we exemplify real Christian living, making it possible for countries to regard us as a Christian benefactor working so that all nations may live in a democracy with a standard of living comparable to ours.
