LLASS PROPHECY Here it is again, the end of another year and time for my usual trip over the United States. Nothing ever happens. Well---here's my train already---the Jerkwater Express for New York. Wow, what a fast trip! Here I am in New York and as I stroll down a boulevard, I hap- pen to see a block long store called, McBrides, WLady Elegantn Shop. Inside, the famous designer, Marjorie is taking measurments of my good friend Betty Grable. Oh, My goodness here comes that bore, Alan Ladd, I'd better hide in this nightclub, because all he talks about is that rising young artist, Imelda Martin. As long as I'm here I might as well have a glass of water. Hmmmm, this billing says that Tommy Dorsey's band will be here tonight featuring that well known drummer-Marcia Mathews. Hell, I guess 1t's safe to leave now---wait! What's that zooming around outside? People out here are all looking up and saying, WIS it a bird?H WIS it a plane?n Yes, it's Albert Steckler testing that new jet plane. Wow,.what a manl After putting many miles behind me, I arrived in Minn- eapolis and attended a pro-basketball game. The high- light of the evening being when Bill Graper accepted a life time contract to play center on the 'Minnepol1s Lakersn. After staying overnight in Minneapolis, I find myself on the way to Texas early the next morning. Whan I arri- ved I visited my old friend Ewell Marvel on his little 2000 arce ranch, where he leads a happy married life with his wife, Marcilyn, and their charming child, Ewell-- Junior. And there's my old friend, Jim Paul and his famous race horse, Champion who has won 5 straight Santa Anita openings. On my trip to Chicago, I read an article in the paper that Governor, Popeye is to marry in June to a famous flute player, Miss Ellen Glenn. On the train I had an attack on appendecitis and was rushed to the hospital at Indianapolis, Ind., and who is to assist in the operating buy lovely Irene Rice, who is a famous nurse there. I haven't felt very good since. After leaving there, I passed through Owensville only to see a cop giving a ticket to a man for speeding. It was my old fr1ends,, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Fleener, and their 8 adorable children. After wishing Tom and Biddy good luck and many more---Cchildren that isl. I returned to Cynthlana to receive my order from Chicago---two pairs of B. V. D's from Jim Q Carol Sue Lockwood's Dept. stores, and to get a physical check-up from my physician---Miss Mary Ella Pritchett and her assistant, Beverly Rudd. Seeking a little relaxation, I went to the Dells night Club, where I found it as Louise Schnelle was singing a torch song. On my way back, I passed Kay and ing husband, Don Mounts. Kay was driving and her charm- Don was in the back seat with their little army. ' This ends a very enjoyable trip, and to enjoyable day, I have accepted and invitation CHoney Boy!
