The once drab gymnasium is transformed into a fairyland of unforgettable moments. Amidst all this splendor, the crowning of the class' last king and queen is the high point of the evening. A pink and blue castle sets the motif for the i959 Senior Prom. Our Queen, Marlene Mayer, receives a kiss from King Eddie Cross during traditional half-time ceremonies FOOTBALL HOMECOMING Cuyahoga Falls, playing host to Hoban for the Inter-City title, staged its homecoming game on November 6. During half-time, Marlene Mayer and Eddie Cross were intro- duced as the l959 Football Homecoming Queen and King, and the court was pre- sented, A white football, autographed by the football team was given to Marlene as a me- mento of her reign. Selected to represent the senior mem- bers of the football team were Mike Clary, Spike Moyer, Karl Albertson, and Jim Bell, Queen Marlene's attendants, senior girls nom- inated by the team, were Pat Shaffer, Kathie Anderson, Jackie lsner, and Carol Englehart. The formal crowning took place at the Homecoming Dance, sponsored by the high school Booster Club, and held on November 2l, amidst a Harvest Moon setting of pumpkins, corn stalks, autumn leaves, and scarecrows, Sandy Wendt, as president of Booster Club, and Dave White, her date, crowned the King and Queen. l crown you Queen of the i959 Football Home- coming.
