DEDICATION Mrs. Doris Sidnell We, the Ianuary and Iune classes of 1952, dedicate this yearbook to Mrs. Doris Sidnell. During her twenty- two years of teaching in the Cuyahoga Falls School System, Mrs. Sidnell taught Domestic Science and did elementary work in the grades. Before taking a perma- nent position in the high school, she did substitute Work. In 1946 she took a full time job of teaching home economics in the high school, as well as serving as a senior sponsor and Honor Society advisor, Mrs. Sidne1l's passing was a great loss, to the students and faculty. Mrs, Sidnell's smile cheered her pupils, and this together with her patience and the time she always had for other people will remain vivid in our memories. Mrs. Sidnell inspects our work 3 INTRODUCTION Dear Students, We, the Seniors ot 1952, present to you your 1952 edition of the Cuyahogan. To make things worse, Count Sergius Von Popova Clrlerb Reedl, assisted by two other conspirators, Demetrius Uack Chapinl, and Nicolai CBob Lamportl, is plotting to overthrow the government. But the minds of the people are temporarily diverted by the annual Rose Festival. Among the many visitors are Darrell Davis CPhil Cochranl, a news- reel cameraman from Hollywood and Percival McPipp CChris Schoenlebl, who readily admits he is the greatest movie director in the world. Percival Comes up with a great idea. He will pay the kingdom a million dollars and hire everyone to play in a super-colossal movie, set in Eurolania. The movie will have all the trimmings, including a mock revolution. Von Popova sees his chance to turn the mock revolution into a real one at rehearsal and gain control of the government. But Darrell and Karl CBill Newmanl, the prince, overhear the plan and tlil the attempt. Darrell is rewarded with the hand of Rose CRuth Bowenl, the Kings daughter, and Karl receives a like prize in Pamela CRoberta Kleinl, McPipp's daughter. Popova is suitably punished, and preparations go gaily forward for a joyful combination ot riches and romance in Eurolania. 89 REVUSICAL For its annual Fall Musical the a cappella choir presented a Revusical on December 6 and 7, 1951 in the high school auditorium. Coach McNea said this was one of the best track teams he had ever coached, which is understandable. Although they competed against the best teams in the state, they were able to win 3 of their meets and set lO new and impressive records for the Falls. The climax of the season was when Tom Blankenship in the lOO and the 880 relay team, composed of Ray Filing, Rocky Wright, Dick Ackerman, and Iohn Cochran, qualified for the state meet.
