We especially wish to express our thanks to the Board of Education because it provides the fundamentals, such as teachers, buildings, and books for out edu- cation. This group is composed of five citizens, elected for a term of two years. It meets with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of schools twice a month to form the policies for guiding the school affairs of our community. We realize thot an increase in enrollment and the high cost of living have greatly multiplied the problems which these citizens face and that their job is by no means an easy one. 8

DEANS A Mrs. Elizabeth Ellis MR. HOWARD D. SAUER, B. S. Wooster College: Akron Univ. Acting Principal Tenth grade sponsor Business Manager of Year Book Mr. Howard D. Saurer, Dean of Boys, has many important duties. Besides having charge of boys' attendance, he schedules classes and studies for ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade boys and eleventh grade girls. He has charge of all disciplinary matters involving boys. Mr. Saurer must be present any evening on which public entertainment and sport contests are presented to assist with matters of discipline. He is also responsible for bringing to the at- tention of the principal any matter that may improve the business of education at Cuyahoga Falls High School. MRS. ELIZABETH I. ELLIS. B. S. Kent State: Akron Univ.: Ohio State Psychology Dean of Girls Student Council adviser Ninth grade sponsor Mrs. Elizabeth Ellis is our Dean of Girls. As such, she has charge or girls'f attendance. She carries out any proiects that may improve the standards and opportunities for girls. She also is responsible for scheduling ninth and tenth grade girls. Mrs. Ellis has general supervision over the activities of girls during the lunch per- iod. She must be present on those evenings that school groups entertain to help with matters of discipline. Mrs. Ellis certainly ought to be com- mended for filling so well the position of mother to the girls of Cuyahoga Falls High School during school hours. Mr. Howard D. Saurer
