311 ehicatiun Miss FERN NAOM1 SWIGART Miss Swigart, head of the Home Economics department of Cuyahoga Falls High School, graduated from Wittenberg College in June, 1924 and began teaching at our school in 1928. She was a member of many teacher's organizations, and took an active part in her church work. At school, she taught Home Economics and English, and sponsored the National Honor Society. Her passing is a great loss, both to the students and faculty, who miss her quiet friendliness, and guidance. The staff of The Cuyahogan feels that the least it can do is dedicate this book to our beloved friend and teacher, Miss Fern Swigart. 5

These features of our academic World have joined as one. VV e find We cannot separate them. There are many parts or groups Which must be considered in order to have a complete picture of our World in which We live. This is, We feel, as it should be. Instead of Waiting until We have graduated to live, We are living now, learning to meet and Work With others in class room and in social groups. For the past four years the classes of january and Iune of 1947 have been a part of such an interwoven pro- gram, and We hope We have contributed as much as We have gained from it. The job of making a permanent record has been intrusted to us and We have done What We could. But in the hands of the reader lies the task of judgment. We invite you to brouse through our Work and Weigh it with sympathetic consideration. l
