Chambers, J. Olfert, R. Sundgren. G. Boxwell Both Cut Bank cross-country teams had successful seasons in 1986. Sophomore Veronica Peterson led the girls to a third place trophy and junior Jordan Peccia led the boys to a fifth in the state championships at Helena. Peccia was a State Medalist because of his fifteenth place finish and Peterson received both All-State and State Medalist honors for her fifth place finish. Scoring behind Peterson were Sylvia Chambers (28th), Dana Bearchild (31st), Kary Knorr (37th), Jennifer Olfert (39th), Ami Anderson (42nd), and Celestia Ballard (55th). Although Cut Bank's girls tied with Wolf Point, they were awarded the third place trophy because the Wolves sixth and seventh runners finished ahead of Wolf Point's fifth runner. t 7 Scoring behind Peccia were Alan Lukin (26th), Rick Sundgren (28th), Bruce Corcoran (34th), Bill Croft (35th), David Baker (59th), and Casey Irgens (72nd). Cut Bank's boys finished within ten points of a state trophy with a fine effort at the state meet this year.
