Shortman • .V Cut Bank was the only team out of Class C, B, A, and AA that placed both teams in state. The Boys team took 2nd in the state meet and the Girls placed 3rd. The WOLVES were led by coach Mike Reynolds. The divisional tourament took place on February 23, 24, 25. The first game was between Cut Bank and Ft. Benton. We lost 72 to 75. The next game we overpowered the Choteau Bulldogs 70 to 57. Saturday morning we lost a game to the Browning Indians 57 to 61 which put us out of the tournament. Waltffig for tho shot . Wahl In 1977 the Cut Bank High School girls' track team placed third in the Northern Division Meet, and went on to place fifth in the State Class A Meet. The Wolf girls set seven new school records during the season. She won third in the 100, fifth in the 220, and anchored the second place relay with Judy Armbruster, Mary Beth Wahl, and Deb Sherrard. The relay squad also set a new Divisional record of 51.39. Mary Pat Murphy, established a new 880 divisional record of 2:27.9 and a new mile record of 5:38.5.
