Although losing 27-6, Cut Bank, nevertheless, came up with an impressive showing their first year of Class A competition. 76 C.B.H.S. Football Team The 1973 Cut Bank High School Football team had a very successful season. The backbone of the team was the nine seniors: Rick Starke, Rick Rewerts, Steve Smith, Clarke Smith, Daryl DeKaye, Joe Davenport, Dale Nygaard, Gordon Flint, and Dan Duke. The coaching staff and all the players set a new record of playing for the state title. Much of this was accomplished through hard work and dedication of all players. One of the main factors of the winning season had to be the great support of the student body. We hope the class of 74 has started to build a winning tradition for the years to come in Cut Bank High School.
