Colors: Burgundy and Pink Flower: Rose 3 I) T Queen Carolyn Augare Homecoming Candidates King Roger Askelson Homecoming Homecoming 1972 was held on Friday, October 6th. Activities began with a parade down Main StTeet in which the floats, football team, band, drill team, and cheerleaders participated. Traditionally the Choteau bull dog was burned before the game for good luck and a victory dance was held afterwards with the Hungry Horse supplying the music. The Homecoming game between Cut Bank and Choteau began at 7:30 p. m. The score was tied at the end of the game and a California Overtime was Parade 1972 played to determine the winner. The Cut Bank football team continued their excellent playing, gained the most yardage, and won the game to highlight Homecoming Festivities. At halftime during the game the winning float and candidates were announced. Superstar, a giant wolf head, constructed by the Juniors captured first place with the Seniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen following respectively. Carolyn Augare was crowned queen and Roger Askelson was crowned king of Homecoming. Senior player, Rod Cline, was presented with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cline. Homecoming Floats Mr. and Mrs. Leishman were presented with their son, Jim Leishman. Russ Meduna and his parents Mr. and Mis. Henry Meduna were presented before the game began. Senior Candidates-Dolcy Goldrick and David Schneuker Junior Candidates-Mary Cooper and Rod Cline, • 9 9 Imagine The different class candidates. 14 Russ Meduna, president of the Junior class, led the Grand March. The Junior class chose Imagine for the theme of their prom. Decorations were done in green streamers and a black light was used the night of the prom. Instead of the usual mural decoration, a real fountain was used with artificial flowers. Mary Cooper was crowned queen and David Schneuker was crowned king of the Imagine prom. Iron Horse supplied the music. The prom was held on April 21st. from 9:00 to 12:00. Queen Mary Cooper and King David Schneuker Sophomore Candidates-Sharon Pfeifer and David Johnson. Decorations were white, light blue, and dark blue streamers stretched across the ceiling and on the sides. Nights in White Satin was lettered across the back wall. A 12-foot flocked Christmas tree with blue bulbs was at one end of the gym. Blue lights were used to shine on the tree. Artificial snow was scattered over the floor and at the doorway. Christmas trees with blinking lights were placed at each end of the stage. The Iron Horse played. All candidates were from the senior class, and a king and queen were chosen.
