DEDICATION To our mothers and fathers whose guidance through these twelve years of school has given us our outlook on life, and whose love and understanding has molded our ideals, we dedicate this yearbook. B. H. S. In the preparation of this annual, the staff has tried to present, through the use of as many pictures and as few words as possible, a glimpse of your activities in 1958-59. May these pages ever be a pleasant reminder of your high school days. THE EDITOR STUDENT COUNCIL First row, left to right, Jo Barrier, Myrna Dudley, Arial Fry, Kirwin Werner, Kent Webster, Sharon Eide. The Student Council under the direction of Kirwin Werner, president for '57-'58, and the advisors, Mr. Rimel and Mr. Davis, has been an active group at Cut Bank High. The function of the council, composed of presidents elected by the organizations they represent, is to promote better relationships between the students and faculty, and to aid in governing the student body. Some of the projects sponsored by the council were the annual Homecoming celebration, a dance during the Class B divisional tourney, and the sale of student activitiy cards. ) Each Annual staff tries to do a better job than the one before. I am sure that the 1959 Wolf will be a veritable treasure-house of happy memories for all. As the Class of 1959 rounds out its twelve years of education, we look forward to its success in the years ahead. Best wishes, H. C. Davis, Superintendent High school is preparation for your future. (12) HISTORY TIME — '55-'56 PLACE — CBHS CHARACTERS — 117 Green Freshman RESULTS The first week of school was spent bowing and cringing as sophomores came into sight. The Friday of the first week wound up the torture, and we were given a dance by the Sophomores. The election of officers was the first item on the business agenda. Jerry Neidhardt was chosen President, with Donna Burgess, Vice President; Ronnie Deming, Secretary-Treasurer, and Kirwin Werner, reporter. In the spring, Evelyn McGuire was elected secretary of the student body. Highlights of our freshman year were the choir trip, and the state basketball tournament in Whitefish, taking fourth place. TIME — '56-'57 PLACE — CBHS CHARACTERS—106 up and coming Sophomores RESULTS Ah; Sweet revenge. We spent the first week of school initiating the poor freshmen. Officers elected this year were Dwight Kirsh, President; Gerald Kennedy, Vice President; Donna Burgess, Secretary-Treasurer, and Kathy Owen, reporter. Our first project was a dance for the freshmen. An important event of our second year in High School was the State Basketball Tournament in Great Falls with the Wolves as State Champs. Budding athletes were — Jerry Neidhardt, Jack Hughes, Neil Johnson and Kirwin Werner. This was the first year for having B Squad cheerleaders, Nancy Koontz, Barbara Warehime, Evelyn McGuire and Bev Walker were chosen. Nancy Koontz was elected treasurer and Jerry Neidhardt was elected Vice President of the student body. TIME — '57-'58 PLACE — CBHS CHARACTERS—97 Glorious, Almighty Juniors RESULTS This proved to be a very busy year for our class and Kirwin Werner, president; Roger Salois, Vice President; Sharon Eide, Secretary-Treasurer and Bill Wetzel, reporter, were chosen to lead our class. Our play Her Kissin' Cousin , was very successful; and the first play in the history of CBHS to be presented in the round. Sayonara , our Junior Prom, was the most successful prom ever held, and was attended by over 90 couples. We traveled to the State Tournament in Billings and wound up second; also became proud wearers of class rings. Among class members that brought fame to our class were Evelyn McGuire and Nancy Koontz as cheerleaders, and Kirwin Werner, elected president of the Student Body for '58-'59. TIME — '58-'59 PLACE — CBHS CHARACTERS — 88 Brilliant, Illustrious Seniors RESULTS Here we are — seniors at last. Mike Phillips, President; Jo Barrier, Vice President; Roger Salois, Secretary-Treasurer, and Mryl McAdam, reporter were chosen to lead us in this most important year. As Seniors, the Live Wire was our responsibility, and if we do say so ourselves we did a good job. Homecoming was a success with Donna Burgess and Larry Paisley as Homecoming King and Queen. The first big project was our play, The Curious Savage. It was a huge success, and the cast and Mrs. Dresen had a ball putting it on. Silver Bells was the theme for our Senior Ball, and it was well attended. Royalty for the Ball were Kathy Owen and Don Bradley. The district Tourney held in CBHS's new gym was the first tournament held here in fourteen years. Our team placed fourth. Senior Activities this year included Sneak Day, Senior Girls Breakfast, Senior Banquet. Baccalaureate. Commencement Excercises, and Graduation night. Important personalities this year were Donna Burgess, Annual editor; Don Bradley. Live Wire Editor; Kirwin Werner, State Elk's Leadership Winner; Evelyn McGuire, Jackie Bolton, Nancy Koontz, and Eev Walker, cheerleaders. And as we leave these hallowed halls.
