Class Prophecy KEITH FORESTER and JIM FRY, the world’s greatest scientists, invented a time machine. They were about to show us the previews of our future when one of the tubes burned out and we went rushing back into time. What’s this? LARRY FLEMING and ROY HARTFORD fighting one-eyed giants? They must have just returned from the Battle of Troy after losing the hand of MARGIE of Troy. The scene changed to Rome. Here we saw two friends. Friends? MERLIN HUNTER Caesar and Brutus NORMAN were turning upon each other. Can this be? MERLIN the magician DRISKELL must have cast this foul jinx upon them. PURNEE WERNER, we discovered, was Cleopatra’s greatest rival for the love of Mark Anthony BEREZAY. We never did find out who won because the picture changed. Then came Salomi (better known as TOOTIE) with her seven veils. She was about to do her famous dance, that had swept the country, for King Herod SCHAEFER. We also noticed that Delilah BOLTON has taken after her dad. She just finished trimming Sampson SPARKS’s hair. As we entered King Arthur’s court, who should we see but BILL KING sitting at the head of the round table. He had just sent Sir DON Galahad PERRY out in search of the Holy Grail. Sir Lancelot NEWMAN was galloping up the road on his trusty steed when who should be standing in the road in front of him but BARB B„ the Lady of the Lake. We heard a crash in Sherwood Forest just then and we came upon Robin Hood GLENN and Little JACK fighting on the bridge. Little JACK had just pushed Robin into the water and the Lady DONNA came rushing to see what was happening. Suddenly an arrow went whizzing through the air. LES William Tell DAVIS had tried to hit an apple on LE ANN BRUDER’s head. Someone must have steady nerves! The scenes changed rapidly and next we saw the art gallery of GEORGE KAWANISHI De Vinci. The beautiful Mona Lisa ZIMMERMAN was his model. Amid the splashing of waves and booms of guns we witnessed a great battle between the famous pirates, Blackbeard McNUTT and Henry Morgan DeZORT. They were fighting over the hand of Lady SCARBOROUGH. Double, double, boil and bubble! For a minute I thought we were back in lunior English, but instead we were about to witness the great play, “Macbeth,” written by DALE Shakespeare and starring the great DIANE HUNTER as the Lady Macbeth. Sitting in the front row of the theatre was Queen Victoria SCHWINGEL. Guess what we saw next! A foreign visitor came into the auditorium. It was Marie Antoinette HART. It seems that the two women were rivaling fashion plates. Standing outside of the theatre was Lady C'ROFFORD. The gallant Sir NILE Raleigh (better known as Walter) had just rushed to her aid and was helping her across the street. Just then we caught a glimpse of SIDNEY Napoleon LOGAN and his wife Josephine RONNIE ROPER. They were bending over a map, still trying to figure out how he met his Waterloo. Could it have been that World History Class? The year 1492 then came into view. Ferdinand (MYRON) and Isabella (MARGARET) just sent ERIK Columbus off to search for a new route to India. (Somebody goofed.) What happened next really was hysterical. It seems that PAT de Leon was still searching for the Fountain of Youth. I think he was searching in the wrong place, though, because we came upon King CORKY Solomon and his harem at that time. Maybe it wasn’t the wrong place after all. Some of the girls we recognized in the harem were KAREN O’LEYAR, LOIS COTTENGIM, RUTH GROSSER, RITA ENNEBERG. and SHARON HANSON. They didn’t see us. as they were too busy playing their favorite song, “Hootchy Kootchy BURY,” on their lyres. The song was written by ADA VANCE. We next looked in on a family argument. Ann Boleyn WARD and her daughter, the future Queen Elizabeth JOHNSTON, were fighting over the dinner that was to be served to King BEEF' the VIII. Our time machine was rapidly moving up to the present time but just before we reached the year 1970 again, we came upon SHARON STEF1LE Nightengale. (Always knew sne wanted to be a nurse.) DELBERT of GARBFJR was her first and last patient. Any similarity to real persons or places in history is absolutely intentional. ( 17
