CLASS PROPHECY On the evening of graduation the class of 55 solemnly vowed to hold a class reunion ten years later. It is now the afternoon of May 23, 1965, and after talking with some former classmates we have come up with the following information: Beverly Carroll is now running a reducing salon in Long Beach. She still hasn't found a solution to the giggles. Helen Schenk is trick riding in Madison Square Garden. Jim Brophy is highest paid model for the Toni Home Permanent products. His hair has that natural look, Landy Stinnett has just constructed the Hotel Stingy, It features cheap rates and running water when it rains. Bob Lane has just recently been employed as bell boy, Doug Rosse is territorial salesman for ladies ready to wear, with offices in Priggle, Hermosa and Dewey. Sam Madsen is now a commercial photographer operating a hugh modeling agency.. Highest paid model at this agency is Betty Parris. She is especially popular in bathing suits. Patty Gates and Lyla Smith have collaborated to write a book entitled - How to Live Without Men, Dolores Marty is now sole owner and operator of the only dental office in Pringle. Jo Hart is assisting Dr. Mary Jane Blight in a major operation on Curtis Schennum who is now a Wall Street broker. The operation consisted of the removal of an ingrown toe-nail. Ernie Knight is still prospecting in Alaska. The last we heard, all he had for his hard work is a growth of beard--no gold, We picked up the paper and saw an advertisement for Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey featuring Janice Baker and Connie Lackey, those two world famous hootchie- kootchie dancers. Florence McKenna is now a story teller on the children's hour--Station BABY. Gerald Spargur is now a four star General, When asked how he made it he answered: No one ever found out I can't march and keep in step, Patty Kent has started a new night club in Denver known as Hernando's Hideaway, featuring Mary Eide as Madam Zedue the torch singer, Dave Linde and Jim Gibson were among the first at the door. Mickey Maddox is now editor of the Pringle Daily Gossip. Arlene Svoboda is his top reporter and Larry Saville leads his line of newsboys. Bonnie Hyde is now owner and operator of Bonnie's All Girl Bar. Reta Quick is serving as able-bodied bouncer while Shirley Landis polishes -glasses in the back room. Melvin Larson is billed as Sherlock Homely on television. We no longer miss Einstein--Delmer Brown has taken his place. Gail Farrell, Pearl Asche, and Cora Boggs have started a sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting and choral society, Joy Berlin is now a book saleswoman and her best customer is Mrs, Smaha. Loretta Pullins is a missionary to slave traders in Africa where she ran across Jack Naugle and Darris Cooper. They insist they're in a legal business but we suspect they're smuggling something. The question is --WHAT? Bill Petrik is acclaimed as the greatest comedian since Bob Hope. Bob oblingingly dropped out of sight a few years back. 17
