Because of the efforts of these citizens, our school system today provides better education for a larger number of students. By the addition to the curriculum of industrial arts, vocational agri- culture, and home economics, a wider range of courses to suit individual needs has been made possible. More effective workers, more useful citizens, and happier individuals should be the result. The combining of several small schools into one large school will make an efficient system in which more equal opportunities for all will be available. All those who worked tirelessly for this unified and expanded program deserve our thanks and sincere commendation. Future gradu- ates of our school system will certainly benefit by the iointure. 5 E Q -' -ff' x X is 222 XX E 5 'Wsr I L Y , nor class of 1951 expresses :ts thanks to Mr Hell our supervusmg pruncupcxl for everythmg he dad to moke the Curwensvtlle Joint Cchool System cu realuty 6 HARRY G HEIL SUPERVISING PRINCIPAL Mr Hell and Mrs Lounse Dale Secretory It is with sincerity that the sen- , ' A 1 , .5 , Q A Q 4 , 55 1 M Sxxaxl' ' I , , W , N ' ,, 1 375 A? 9:11,-.. Mrs. Robert Errigo is the faculty sponsor. This club issues as a weekly school paper The Pattonite. The paper is published as an insert in the Curwensville paper. At the first meeting the club chose Helen Lash as editor-in-chief and Joan Malmberg and Nancy Hoblitzell as assistant editors. These girls and the other forty-six members gather and write up the news of the school. We feel that this club is contributing much to the school and community and so we wish for it much success in the future. S. Not everyone can become a member. In order to become a member a boy must win a letter in either football, basketball, or baseball. The club buys sweaters for all seniors winning two letters and for all underclassmen winning three letters. This year's sweater winners include Russell Clark, Harold Decker, Richard Frankhouser, Richard McDonald, Paul Rushinski, Tim Smith, William Traister, Kenneth Cathcart, Chris Cullen, and Lance Duttry.
