KELTNER, mm Jo MINTER, KAREN Home Economics At Curtis junior High we are striving toward educating girls to become well prepared future homemakers, as well as becoming well-poised young ladies in our society. Consumer education is being stressed in all areas of Home Economics. Which is no longer strictly Foods Preparation and Clothing. Mrs. Ke1tner's Ninth Grade l-lomemaking Class. Physical Education Coaches Wilhelm and Schepis teach the boys' physical education classes. The general objective of the class is to con- tribute to the complete health of the student. Daily calisthenics help in the boys training to be in good physical con- dition. Miss Scott and Miss Groves teach the girls' physical education classes at Cur- tis, They help the girls in leaming game rules, good sportsmanship, and teamwork. The main objectives of the course are to promote good social behavior and to develop good physical skills.
