The main purpose of the club, according to their sponsor Mr. Perry, is to acquaint students with the value of native and foreign coins. Also, Mr. Perry educates mem- bers on the history of coins and provides them with an interesting and profitable hobby. Center picture QL. to R. RED CROSS SITTING QL. to R . j: jeff Miller, Greg Cummings, Debby O'Lenry, Curtis Cummings. STANDING, FIRST ROW: Frcd Smith, Bill Roberts, Dennis Cassidy, Mrs. Preuett, Judy Clark, Kathy Hasse. SECOND ROW: Scotty Hein, Tcrryl Brown, Wayne Reece, Junior Red Cross is a young people's organization under the sponsorship of the Amer- ican Red Cross. The aim of the members is to serve the community. This club is one of the first formed clubs at Curtis. Red Cross has adopted a care home for elderly women. On each holiday they take fa- vors to the home. Other projects during the year were making placemats for the Vet- erans Hospital, repairing toys at Christmas time, and preparing Christmas boxes for our servicemen in Viet Nam. DRAMA CLUB , . The Curtis Drama Club is an organizauon formed for students interested in drama amd public acting. Under the direction of Miss Taylor and Mrs. Duvall, several plays were presented during the year. With profits from former plays, thc club has presented several fine paintings to the school.
