HOME ECONOMICS Girls are iirst inmnduccd to Home Economics as a. required eighth grade course. Ninth grade girls take it its an elective. Karen Covington, Karen Minter, and Buelah Pmett teach these courses. SPECIAL EDUCATION This is the ioxu-th year that Special Education has been offered at Curtis. All other junior high school in Wichita, except one, make this course available. The Curtis Class has wventy-four students and two teachers, Mr. Leach and Mrs. Duvall. GENERAL SHOP General shop is I1 required course for eighth grade boys. One semester of this two semester course is devoted to electricity.
