Coach Harry O'Brien's 1944 Baseball team, led by Captain Jimmy Mac- Alarney, succeeded in -winning the Richmond Championship again, and fought its way to the City Finals of the Public School Athletic League, where it lost to Flushing the city crown it had won the previous year. Spring practice for the 1945 team showed five returning veterans and many promising newcomers. The backbone of the team will be composed of Hrst baseman Carl Fuglestad, second base- . man Gene Burns, third baseman John De Luca, pitcher Roy Mathies, and catcher John Mulholland.
