Amid the ptaying of the nationat anthem hy Rush Wetter and his internationatty famous piccoto hand the gates were thrown open to the puhtic . . . Chairman of the Fair, John Quirtc, said that he expected quite a crowd on the day of the exposition,s opening, and was seen at the main gate hetping Rohert Tompkins and Harotd Diamond tatte tickets. There was quite a disturh- ance when Rohert Connors, of Brootctyn, tired to gain admission with a 1957 G.0. card. This was soon quetted under the etticient hand of the Lieutenant of Police, John Thomp- son, and his three trigger men, Anthony Schiumo, 1V1i11ard Siegter, and John Bertamini. The Administration Buitding was designed hy Donatd Fotey, wortd-famous designer and HEsquireu cartoonist. tt houses the information hooths and a pin hatt game in one corner operated hy George Creighton and Gordon Drescher. A tittte further down, Edward Segati, famous hig teaguer, has a stand where one can throw a hasehatt at a stone Watt for tive cents. One of the most unique exhihits on the Midway is Dougtas Adamson,s. On the opening day Satte Wimmer tcitted fourteen of her customers and permanentty disfigured twenty-two. A Fine record. Over in the industriat area, Lestie Fritz can he seen mode-ting men's ctothes for the famous Firm of Cantor. Kutscher, Godnig, and Currie. fCurrie as a sitent partner.1 Another novet industriat exhihit is a tirm run entirety hy women. Under the teadership of Marjorie Ctement, this Firm has astounded many in its rate of production. At their exhihit, Anna Dierteing shows the puhtic how the product is manufactured. tt is a neon hairpin for evening wear. The industriat area teads into the restaurant section.
