Homecoming . . . The hosts for the evening provide melodic amusement, The final product of the Senior Snowman Crew. After a week of various events such as the backbending Car Stuff, Greaser Day, the Kissing Booth, Parents Day, and the Rock Festival, both students and teachers looked forward to the festivities of the Homecoming Night Assem- bly. Due to the skilled organization efforts of the Home- coming Crew, Mike johnson, Steve Page, and Scott Higgins, the assembly proved to be an amusing and effective produc- tion. Many students participated in the competitive events of the evening which included such items as the Barbershop Quartet competition, the Pyramids, the Licorice Chew, the Root Beer Chug-A-Lug, the Tomato Pass, and the Snowman contest. The Seniors proved their supreme skills and abili- ties by coming in first in the total class competition. Homecoming contests continued through the evening of the football game. Chariots designed by each homeroom raced down the center of the field in the Chariot Race at half-time. The winner, being the chariot of Mr. Harrisonls homeroom, was subject to the professional christening by the TV personality, Dick Balch. He eloquently smashed the well- built chariot with his gilded sledge hammer, then disap- peared amid the excited cheers, grins, and smiles of the 1973 Homecoming audience. iw, S .
