French Club To start out the year, French Club sponsored an assembly to raise a con- siderable amount of money for the A. F . S fund. The assembly, enjoyed by all, featured a play produced and acted out by the teachers. The club's other activities included slides of Europe shown by Mrs. Cooper, a French Dinner, and various socials. A Cossack Dancers' concert and a dinner in Seattle at the Russian Samovar highlighted Russian Club'S Varied activities. Under the guidance of Mrs. MacPherson, members carried out many unusual and entertaining events. Among these were included the trip to the University of Washington and the proposed two Week back pack trip through the Cascades. Their annual licorice sale satisfied many a hungry Curtis student. 90
