Laura Pieterman and Don Rapp reign as King and Queen at the Senior Ball Don and Laura Reigr The period of Romeo and Juliet set the scene for the 1970 senior ball. With the theme A Time for Us the room Was decorated like the inside of a castle With pillars and a balcony Where the refreshments were served. Midway through the evening came the announcement of the royalty and then l the Grand March. While the couples i slowly Walked around the royalty, Don and Laura led the others in the Grand March Dance. As 11:30 came everyone Went their own Ways. Some to Seattle for dinner and some to Olympia and even Tacoma. The evening was exciting, and long for some. It was obvious that this senior ball was the best Curtis has ever had. Many sophomore boys were selected to act as waiters Royalty for this years senior ball are as follow: Duke and Duchess were jerry Wakefield and Tolly Knisely, Prince and Princess, Greg Duras and Holly Christiansen, and King and Queen were Don Rapp and Laura Pieterrn an 28 my-Inq

After the royalty was announced, the grand march to place and then a big circle was made for the royalty while they led the next dance The refreshments were served on the balcony where tables were set with candles. The guests were waited on by the sophomore waiters.
