Ekstrom We take pleasure in dedicating our 1951 Year Book The Yellow Jacket Revue to our Vocational Department and those two very able instructors Mr. Merlyn E. Ekstrom, and Mrs. Loyce M. Guthrie. By their loyalty, enthusiasm and service they have endeared themselves to us. They are building at Curry a Vocational Department which is being complimented by all who visit it. We wish for them continued success in their chosen profession. The future will measure the results of the fine work being done by these capable leaders in Community Development . . Mr, Merlyn E. Ekstrom was born in Kremlin, Okla- homa, but attended and graduated from Alabama Polytechnic Institute at Auburn in 1948, earning both the B. S. Degree in Agriculture Science and Agriculture Education. He has taught Agriculture here for the past two years. He resides at 608 Ninth Avenue, Jasper, Alabama. Mrs, Loyce M. Guthrie was born in Walker County and graduated at the University of Alabama, with the B. S. Degree in Vocational Home Economics. She has taught Home Economics here for the past three years.
